Description
Fantastic instrument, super light weight at only 2.9 kgs. Maybach guitars are handbuilt in the Czech republic. Upgrded with an US-made, light weight, nitro-finished and tastefully aged swamp ash body by MJT (original price for the body was € 450). Invisible under the pickguard is a humbucker routing in the neck position which has been slightly widened to accommodate the single coil which is installed now. Still it is possible to install a humbucker in the neck position if you wish. I will add a wiring set with calibrated pots and caps optimized for the HB/SC mix. The one-piece maple neck is nitro-finished and features a substantial, but not huge U-shaped profile. The pickups are custom order LeoSounds, based on the Vintage Player 57 models with a slightly hotter bridge pickup for higher gain leads without getting microphonic and a nickel silver neck PU cover for a transparent, almost strat-like sound (original price for the pickups was € 180) The bridge features compensated brass saddles, the tuners are reliable aged Gotoh 510s.
