1963 Fender Telecaster

Description

Super great Tele - in every aspect. New frets (sensible) and normal Tele gearing (without muff). Great medium-strong C neck (just right). I actually wanted to keep the guitar myself - it's one of the best sounding I've ever had - but on stage I have the problem that I can't see the somewhat washed out dots on the edge of the fingerboard without glasses, but I'm probably dependent on them to avoid playing the wrong notes - I don't really want to change the guitar either - and I still have a few good Teles...:-) Original brown case. Certificate + CITES from Guitarpoint. What a guitar. This is a magical looking, feeling and sounding Tele! August 1963 Blonde Telecaster serial number L11939. Original road warrior, beautiful blonde finish and dark rosewood board. It has a changed volume pot once (now there is a 64 pot installed) - there’s a little ditch in the control cavity by the volume pot, maybe this is factory, maybe it was caused by a slightly larger diameter pot. The 1960s Blonde Tele was made famous by the great Robben Ford, and Mike Bloomfield (who played a '63!). This 1963 has that quintessential 60s neck: some people believe 1963 necks were the best Fender necks in the 60s. The neck on this guitar has the perfect full size, was refretted and it is pure perfection. There is something really special about worn out original guitars. They were heavily used but respected. This guitar is blues machine, with an amazing feeling neck and great sounding pickups, a really special instrument. Original with original brown case.
