1996 Gibson "Monstertop" Les Paul Custom Shop Historic Collection "1959 Reissue"

It is been a while since I had one of those 1994-96 "monster tops" in stock - nice to see one again! In the US, these are in high demand and - depending on the quality of the top - fetch stiff prices on the 2nd hand/vintage market! In those days, the Custom Shop produced barely more than 300 pieces per year of the entire series (today, the CS produces more pieces of a single model, such as a specific CC), resulting in absolutely great quality! The nitro finish of this one already shows some nice aging, the colour looks awesome, the medium to substantial neck profile plays great. Fantastic full and substantial sound! Guitar had a head crack years ago - and has been repaired professionally by a good luthier - smooth and stable Head / Neck joint. - Comes with original brown Custom Shop case, accessories. Papers (Back in the day there were no CS cerificates yet.)
