Fender Custom Shop 52 Heavy Relic Telecaster with a factory B16 Bigsby made by now famous Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Dale Wilson. He made the guitar for the 2011 NAMM show as an apprentice Master Builder at Fender. It was the first time Fender allowed him to submit multiple guitars for the NAMM show and this guitar was responsible for Fender making him a Master Builder. I'll include the communication with the instrument for the new owner. The guitar is 100% new, unused, unplayed, untouched! Purchased new from an authorized Fender Custom Shop Dealer and stored in its case ever since. There is zero fret wear and all the wear you see came from the factory. Dale modeled this Custom Shop masterpiece design after a vintage 52 Telecaster (Serial #2844) that he saw on the Telecaster Planet web site. The original 1952 Telecaster #2884 guitar was also in the possession of Gruhn Guitars in Nashville, TN for awhile too before it sold for over $22,000. CLICK HERE. This Custom Shop instrument has the famous tobacco tint to replicate the original #2844 Telecaster showing years of playing in smoky honky tonks like the original but without the tobacco smell I'm sure the original has. The guitar's honey blonde finish is untinted under the pickguard, control plate etc. etc. which is very cool. Mr. Wilson did an excellent job of creating a masterpiece with this instrument to make it look just like an original would aging gracefully after many years. Nothing fake looking about this guitar.
